For most of us mere musicians, it takes 40 years of practice and performance to know that you can never get everything that is in your mind, out through your instrument. Although it would be boring if we could. We'd be AI's and I don't think an AI could ever play from the heart :)

Iteration of the theramin. How wonderful it would be, to be able to meld mind in such a way that you could share the music you imagine.
That's a great way of putting it, breaking the gap down between what we imagine and what we can actually express is what this is all about
