Love the counterbalance part of the Tynell lamp. Not sure if I’ve never seen one which is put at the center. For what I remember those which are traditional from my place (mostly made of ceramics) have the weight placed asymmetrical.
Yes the central placement is interesting, I would love it to try it and see what it feels like. I wonder how hard you have to ‘push’ the light to get it to travel up again.
I often think I’d love someone to create a museum of design where you can actually touch and use the pieces like this.
